Martin Ingham Townsend
Born in 1810, M. I. Townsend graduated with a degree in Law from Williams University. He became a clerk in a law office and passed the bar in 1836. After becoming a District Attorney, politician and delegate of the state of New York, M.I. Townsend turned to writing and the study of the natural history of the Americas. Many of his stunning conclusions are not widely known.

With so many historical documents falling into the shadows of antiquity, I feel its time to shed new light on forgotten ideals. It may be more difficult to dismiss the theories of old when we read the actual documents that were produced by the accepted, and highly regarded authors of the past. This is one such book.
